Pro-life doctor breathes new life into old hymn

Mar. 24, 2006 (www.catholic.org)  -  Pro-life doctor and writer for the Catholic magazine, Vocations & Prayer, Bruce L. Thiessen, aka, Dr. BLT, is releasing yet another free song to celebrate the pro-life movement in the United States.

By writing his own original music for an old hymn, "It is Well (With My Soul)," Dr. BLT hopes to breathe a breath of new life into an old, treasured classic.

Dr. BLT, a psychologist, has found that patients he works with who make the decision to give birth to their children, are left with the sense of "soul wellbeing" expressed in the song.

On the other hand, those who abort their children, are left feeling unsettled, guilt-ridden and beseiged with prolonged grief over the loss of their unborn child.

Dr. BLT further notes that the feeling of wellbeing can return to the woman who has had one or more abortions, by processing unresolved feelings about the abortion(s) with a trusted therapist, and applying the cross of Jesus to the scars that result from the abortion(s).
