The Answer to the BURNING QUESTION of the Week

Here 's the Burning Question: 
What two sacraments were instituted be Jesus on Holy Thursday? 

The short answer is: The Eucharist and Holy Orders.

Holy Eucharist comes to us from the words of Jesus when He says: "This is my Body which will be given up for you. This is followed by, "This is my blood, he blood of the new and everlasting covenant."

Holy Orders, the sacrament which continues the Priesthood of Jesus in the world comes to us as a result of Jesus saying, "Do this in memory of me." In other words, Jesus gave the power to change bread and wine into His Sacred Body and Blood to His Apostles and their direct descendants by these words.
